The fields of the Franchini family extend for 9 hectares of which 4 are used as vineyards and are located at an altitude ranging from 280 to 400 meters. Approximately 3 hectares are located in the area of "Terre di Forlago", while another hectare, called "heroic hectar" or "extreme" for the slope that distinguishes it, is located in the Monte Marognin area. It is here that the collected grapes are of excellent quality for the Amarone Riserva and the Recioto.
The historic house and winery of Corte Forlago, built around 1430, has characteristics typical of the Roman era "Romanesque arc" with stones and lime typical of the area.
In the old court there is also an old ice-house where there is a farmyard called "Sédese" for the drying of cereals.
All operations in the vineyard are done by hand, from pruning to natural fertilizers. Particular attention is given to the manual harvest of grapes: we select the best bunches that are then stored in small wooden boxes ready to be placed in the well-ventilated storage-area stand for drying, to produce the famous Amarone, Recioto and Ripasso.
